The installation The Cinema Machine is a video/audio installation, which explores notions of information, society's obsession with speed and instant entertainment and our collective memory by confronting the viewer with a maelstrom of visual and sonic information made up of cinematic imagery.
The work consists of 100 popular movies, which were digitally speeded up to 60 seconds duration each, and then chronological assembled into a 100-minute video, encompassing the history of cinema from early silent films to contemporary action thrillers.
